Types of covered walkway design
HD Barrel pitched covered walkway
This traditional style walkway is constructed from high-grade aluminium. Glazing can be in the form of UV stable polycarbonate, toughened safety glass or perforated steel for extra vandal resistance. As well as offering a classic design inspired by elegant walkways seen at grand houses in days of yore, these barrel pitched walkways are inherently practical. Rainwater is channelled to guttering set at the lowest point, where it simply runs to your chosen drainage spot. Optional side glazing can offer extra protection from the elements creating a walkway that is comfortable and secure. This type of walkway can be fitted to a base plate or sub-surface making it a flexible choice for any environment.
Mono pitched covered walkway
Ideal for functions like linking school buildings, or offering shelter for car park users, the mono-pitched covered walkway offers a sleek design that is at home in many settings. Practical features include PVC guttering to manage rainwater and the flexibility to manufacture to any size or length, so it’s easy to get exactly the covered shelter you need.
Our mono-pitched shelters are made from high-grade aluminium and can be powder coated to a colour of your choice. You also have the option of side glazing for extra comfort. Glazing can be in a variety of materials including toughened safety glass or UV stable polycarbonate and the structure can be fitted to a base plate or secured sub-surface.
Social distancing walkways
Safety measures introduced to reduce the spread of Covid-19 mean that more people are having to queue outside shops, banks, and other outlets. As well as offering protection from the elements these covered walkways can incorporate distance markers so everyone can feel safe while waiting to use your premises. When restrictions are lifted these structures can be repurposed as trolley shelters or left in place for the continued comfort of your customers.
