The British weather can be unpredictable, and a sudden downpour can send your customers fleeing for shelter. A covered walkway solves this problem by providing an all-weather pedestrian route to the entrance of your premises. Whether you want to offer a covered walking route for car park users or to link several buildings together, a covered walkway will provide you and your customers with protection and convenience. A dry customer is a happy customer, and a covered walkway can do wonders for your footfall and your customer satisfaction. We offer three main types of covered walkway. Take a look and see which one is right for you.
HD Barrel Roof Covered Walkway
A popular choice for schools and hospitals, as well as business premises, the HD Barrel Roof Covered Walkway is a simple and effective solution to bad weather. Built from high-quality aluminium extrusion, this is a sturdy walkway that won’t let you down. Specially designed to resist corrosion for years to come, and requiring very little in the way of maintenance, this versatile walkway will give you and your customers complete peace of mind. A variety of glazes are available depending on your circumstances, including hardened safety glass and vandal-resistant perforated steel sheeting if necessary. The frame can be finished in your chosen colour, making for an attractive addition to your premises.
Mono Pitched Covered Walkway
A highly adaptable solution, the mono-pitched covered walkway can be manufactured to any length or size depending on your needs. Like the barrel roof walkway, it is designed to resist corrosion and requires minimal upkeep over the years. This walkway can be glazed in either a UV stable polycarbonate or a hardened safety glass, and side glazing is also available on request. PVC guttering allows for the efficient channelling of rain and, once again, it can be powder coated in a colour of your choice.
Socially Distanced Covered Walkways
Our socially distanced covered walkways provide a safe outdoor waiting area for staff and customers while COVID-19 queuing restrictions remain in place. These walkways are designed to use the same extrusions as our HD trolley shelters, meaning that they can be easily repurposed once the restrictions are lifted. The structure is made up of individual 4m modules, allowing for quick manufacturing and convenient assembly. Our installation team will work through the night to ensure minimum disruption for you and your customers. As with all of our structures, the framework is manufactured from high-grade rust-resistant aluminium, and the shelter can be powder coated in your chosen colour. Bespoke versions are also available on request.
At Ace Shelters, we have over 70 years of experience in the manufacturing and installation of covered walkways. We aim to provide our customers with the highest quality at a competitive price. All of our products are British-made, and we offer installation throughout the entire UK. Give us a call on 01704 829404 for more details.
